Frequently asked questions
- How is engagement rate calculated?
- Total interactions (likes + comments + saves + shares) divided by your audience basis times the number of posts, as a percentage. By followers: interactions ÷ (followers × posts) × 100. By reach: interactions ÷ (reach × posts) × 100.
- What is a good engagement rate?
- As a rough cross-platform guide: under 0.5% is low, 1–3.5% is good for most accounts, and over 6% is excellent. Smaller accounts usually see higher rates, and rates fall as you grow, so compare against accounts of a similar size.
- Should I use followers or reach?
- Reach-based engagement (interactions ÷ people who actually saw the post) is the more accurate performance signal; follower-based is the common public number quoted in media kits. The tool supports both.
