How to use Voice & Screen Recorder

  1. Pick Voice, Screen, or Camera, then click the record button and allow access when the browser asks.
  2. Pause/resume as needed; for screen recordings, the browser’s "Stop sharing" button also ends the take.
  3. Click Stop, review the preview, and download the WebM file — or hand it straight to the trimmer, GIF maker, or audio converter.

Frequently asked questions

Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No — the MediaRecorder API captures everything locally in your browser; the file exists only on your device until you choose to share it.
Can I record my screen with my voice over it?
Yes — in Screen mode, keep "Also record my microphone" checked and your narration is mixed with the tab/system sound.
What format is the recording?
WebM — Opus audio for voice, VP9/VP8 video for screen and camera. Use the on-site converters to get MP3, WAV, or other formats.
Is there a time limit?
No hard limit — recordings are held in browser memory, so hour-long sessions are fine; multi-hour 4K captures may exhaust memory.
